Same idea, different sizes
Both machines swap between a rotary head for concentrated cut and 3mm and 12mm orbital heads for gentler work. The difference is scale: the FLEX takes backing plates up to 3 inches and is sold with 3.75 inch pads, while the SK Pro Micro runs a 1.5 inch plate. McKee’s 37 describe the FLEX for mirrors, A-pillars and front lips, anywhere a 6 inch polisher will not fit.
Run time, and a contradiction
Adam’s publish up to an hour at maximum speed from the SK Pro Micro’s batteries. The FLEX listing gives two answers: the description says each battery gives up to 30 minutes of constant power, while the technical data on the same page says up to 20 minutes for the 2.5Ah battery that comes in the kit, and 35 or 50 minutes for FLEX’s larger 4.0Ah and 6.0Ah batteries.
What the extra $240 buys
The FLEX costs $240.00 more. For that, the kit adds larger plates, a published speed range and weight, a bag, four pads and three towels. The SK Pro Micro keeps its advantage on price and on the run time Adam’s publish, and Adam’s sell a cord adapter version for $269.99.
