What the premium actually buys
The absence of a cord. That is the entire product difference, and it is not nothing — dragging a cord across a wet panel is genuinely annoying, and it is one of the ways people scratch a car they were in the middle of correcting.

Battery voltage, because it sets the ceiling on how much power the motor can draw. Amp-hour capacity, because it determines how long that lasts. And runtime under load, because polishing is a continuous high-draw task rather than the intermittent duty a drill sees.
