Months are the wrong unit and two makers know it
A glass coating does not fail on a calendar. It fails under the wipers, which is why a windshield coating on a car in Seattle and the same coating on a car in Phoenix will not last the same number of months even though both bottles say two years.
Two products here publish the honest unit. Nasiol rate Glass Shield at up to 80,000 wiper cycles. DRFT rate their Glass Coating at up to 80,000 wiper passes. Adam’s take a third route and publish mileage — approximately 10,000 miles for the standard coating and 12,000 to 15,000 for the Advanced — which is also better than months.

The one figure that makes a bottle costable
Nasiol publish that Glass Shield uses roughly 5ml per square meter, delivered as about 20 pumps. That single number turns a 50ml bottle into a knowable quantity: enough for approximately ten square meters of glass, which is several cars’ worth of windshields.
Nothing else in this group publishes consumption. On a $54.99 bottle of DRFT or a $59.99 bottle of Adam’s Advanced, you are buying without knowing whether it does one windshield or five. That is the same complaint we make about paint coatings on the main coating roundup, and it is exactly as valid here.
The most useful sentence in the category
DRFT publish that their coating starts repelling water at 30 mph. That is a genuinely practical figure, because the whole promise of a glass coating is that rain leaves the windshield without wipers — and the honest caveat is that it only does so above a certain speed. Below it, you still need the wipers, and every one of those passes counts against the 80,000.
It is the only speed figure published by anybody in this group and it does the product no favors, which is usually a sign a maker is telling you the truth.
One maker tells you not to use microfiber
Nasiol specify buffing with the supplied cotton cloth and state explicitly not to use microfiber. That is unusual enough to be worth flagging before you buy, because it means the towel you already own is the wrong one and the correct one comes in the box. Adam’s and DRFT both supply their own applicator instead.
