How to Wash a Ceramic Coated Car
Mostly the way you should wash any car, with one waiting period at the start that the coating makers publish and most owners never read.

The only coating-specific step is the first one
A ceramic coating is liquid when it goes on and cures over hours. Water on the panel during that window is the one thing that reliably ruins a fresh coating, and the makers publish how long it is. These are the published figures for coatings on this site:

After that window, a coated car is washed the same way as any other car. The coating makes it faster, because dirt releases more easily; it does not make it optional.
What soap to use
One that states it is pH neutral or pH balanced, and ideally one that states it will not strip existing protection. Turtle Wax publish pH balanced for their Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Wash & Wax. 3D publish pH-neutral for GLW SiO2 Ceramic Wash. P&S sell Radiance specifically as a coating maintenance wash.
The exception worth knowing about is Adam’s Graphene Shampoo, which publishes pH 8 to 9 - mildly alkaline, by design, because it is a degreasing wash - while stating that it is safe on coatings. It is the right soap for a car covered in road film, and more than a car that is merely dusty needs. The coated-car soap roundup ranks all eight.
The steps
- Wait out the published cure window before the first wash.
- Rinse thoroughly to lift loose grit.
- Pre-wash with foam or a soaked rinse, using a pH-neutral or balanced soap.
- Two-bucket contact wash, top down, with a clean mitt rinsed after every panel.
- Rinse off all soap before it can dry.
- Dry immediately - a blower, or a plush towel with a drying aid.
- Top up with a spray only as often as the maker publishes.

Three habits that shorten a coating’s life
- Brush-type automatic washes. None of the coating makers here publishes a position on them, and a brush that cleaned the previous car is carrying that car's grit.
- Strong alkaline pre-washes as a weekly routine. They break down road film by breaking down protection, which is why the honest snow foam makers say so.
- Letting the car air-dry. A hydrophobic surface holds tight beads that evaporate in place and leave mineral spots.
