Comparing a spray from one maker with a coating from another tells you almost nothing, because every maker states durability differently. Comparing within a maker removes that problem. Adam’s own figures put their full coating at roughly five times the durability of their best spray. CarPro’s put CQUARTZ at eight times Reload 2.0 or more, measuring from the floor of the coating’s range.
Cure time is where the spray earns its keep
Adam’s publish a four-hour cure for the Advanced spray against 24 hours for the coating. CarPro publish that Reload 2.0 goes on wet or dry. A spray fits into a normal wash; a coating needs a day of clear weather after the work is finished.
The real cost of a coating is the preparation
A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so the paint has to be washed, decontaminated and usually polished first. That is most of a day and most of the skill. Decontamination and polishing cover the steps. A spray goes on clean paint and asks for none of that.
