The specification that is missing from all six
A spray wax exists to answer one question: how long does it last? Not one of the six products on this page answers it. There is no durability figure, no coverage figure and no cure time on any of them. Four give you nothing at all beyond a chemistry name.
That is not a gap in our research. We read all six listings on 9 September 2026 and every figure any of them published is in the table below. The category has decided that “long-lasting” is a sufficient answer, and the ranking on this page is therefore built out of what remains: what the chemistry is, what else the bottle can do, and what an ounce costs.

The second job is the real differentiator
With durability off the table, the question becomes what else the bottle does. Two of the six publish a second use, and it is the same one: applying the product to a wet car as a drying aid. Mothers state it explicitly for Super-Hydro. Chemical Guys state that Lucent works on wet or dry paint.
That matters more than it sounds. A drying aid is a separate $20 purchase for most people, and it is the step that stops a towel dragging across dry paint. A spray wax that is published for wet use replaces it. A spray wax that is not published for wet use might still work that way, but you would be guessing, and guessing on a wet panel is how paint gets marred.
The direct-sun rating almost nobody gives you
Turtle Wax publish that ICE Spray Wax is safe to use in direct sunlight on hot surfaces. Nothing else here says so. It is a small claim and a genuinely useful one, because the realistic moment somebody reaches for a spray wax is on a driveway in the afternoon, and most products in this class streak badly on hot paint.
Combined with the price — $11.00 for 20 fl oz, less than half the cost per ounce of the next cheapest — it is why ICE tops this page despite publishing no more about its durability than anything else does.
Carnauba is named on two, quantified on none
Chemical Guys name natural carnauba in Blazin’ Banana. Turtle Wax say ICE is carnauba-infused. Neither publishes a percentage, so both claims are the same size: carnauba is present in an unstated amount. If the warmth carnauba gives on dark paint is what you are buying, the honest route is a paste, and the wax roundup covers those.
