Choose by format
A hanging card is cheap and works anywhere, but it hangs in your sightline if it goes on the mirror. Chemical Guys’ Gel Cell sits in a cup holder instead and releases its fragrance slowly. A spray puts you in charge of strength and timing, and 3D state theirs is non-staining, which matters when the mist lands on a seat or a headliner.
Almost nobody publishes how long
Chemical Guys say the Gel Cell lasts weeks. The only figure here is Turtle Wax’s 30 days, and on the Midnight listing it is written about a different scent, New Ride. Every other maker calls theirs long-lasting and leaves it there.
One maker says what is in it
3D state their New Car Scent is water-based with fragrance from 100% organic aromatic oils, and that it is safe for people and pets. That safety statement is 3D’s own, with no test cited, but it is the only freshener here whose maker says what you are breathing.
